The classroom is the first court.
GPA goals, planners, time-blocking, active recall, Cornell notes and breaking large projects into micro-tasks. Study is treated as scouting: a game plan, film study and patterns.
The Complete Student-Athlete Initiative runs the classroom and the court on the same track. Every week carries a classroom focus and an athletic focus, one actionable task in the workbook, and one mentor signature. Week 10 ends with the Student-Athlete Manifesto, presented live.
“At Two01 Basketball Academy, we don't just build basketball players — we build leaders, scholars, and high-character young adults. The work put into this 10-week program will lay the foundation for success long after the final horn sounds.”
— Stacey Daniels Jr., Director
The Complete Student-Athlete Initiative is a 10-week academic and athletic mentorship framework. Every week carries two halves: a classroom focus and an athletic focus, taught side by side so the same discipline shows up in both. Each week ends with one actionable task in the workbook, signed off by a mentor, and the ten tasks build into a finished record of the season.
| Length | 10 weeks · one mentorship session per week |
|---|---|
| Ages | Grades 7–12 · ages 12–18 |
| Structure | Classroom focus and athletic focus every week |
| Workbook | One actionable task per week, mentor signed |
| Tracked | GPA goal, weekly schedule, sleep, hydration, goals |
| Mentor | Assigned Two01 mentor or coach for all 10 weeks |
| Finish | Program showcase — the Student-Athlete Manifesto |
Ten completed workbook tasks, each signed by a mentor. By Week 10 the student-athlete is holding written proof of how they managed their time, their grades, their body and their name.
Every week touches all four. A study system is useless without recovery, and composure under pressure means nothing if the profile online contradicts it.
GPA goals, planners, time-blocking, active recall, Cornell notes and breaking large projects into micro-tasks. Study is treated as scouting: a game plan, film study and patterns.
Test anxiety, constructive critique, low-grade recovery plans and a next-play mindset after turnovers. The same reset routine works before a free throw and before an exam.
Sleep and memory consolidation, hydration for cramp prevention, pre- and post-game fueling, and avoiding the afternoon fog that ruins a study block.
Self-advocacy with teachers, coachability without defensiveness, culture building on the bench, digital footprint awareness and how recruiters and admissions staff actually read a profile.
The order matters. Identity and the calendar come before study systems; systems come before leading anyone else; and the personal brand work only lands once the standard behind it is real.
| Phase | Focus | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Foundation · Weeks 1–2 | Identity, core values, GPA goal and control of the calendar. |
| Phase 2 | Systems · Weeks 3–5 | Study systems, mental toughness, and sleep, hydration and fuel. |
| Phase 3 | Influence · Weeks 6–8 | Communication, coachability, culture building and goal execution. |
| Phase 4 | Next Level · Weeks 9–10 | Personal brand, NCAA eligibility basics and the manifesto. |
Each week has a single theme carried through both a classroom focus and an athletic focus.
Nothing is academic-only. Every classroom skill is paired with its equivalent on the court.
The week is not finished until the workbook page is completed — a map, a log, a tracker or an audit.
A Two01 mentor or coach reviews each completed task and signs the workbook before the next week begins.
Select a week to see its theme, the classroom focus, the athletic focus, what gets completed in the workbook, and the actionable task due at the end of it.
Theme — Reframing “athlete” to “student-athlete first.”
Complete the foundational commitment map for the 10-week program.

Track daily sleep, hydration and meal consistency for a full week.
Theme — Building strategic relationships with teachers, coaches and mentors.
Conduct and log a proactive, in-person check-in with two current teachers.

Review every public profile and align the information with collegiate standards.
Theme — Long-term vision and life after sports.
Draft the key declarations presented live at the program showcase.
Three pages do most of the work: the weekly schedule that proves the balance, the recovery tracker that explains the energy, and the study log that turns revision into a repeatable system.
