Two01 · Services · Certification

Get certified to train basketball players — not just athletes.

The Two01 Coaching Academy certification is a 14-module, 75-worksheet curriculum in basketball-specific sports performance. It is taken entirely online, worked on real athletes, and it ends with a certificate of completion issued by Two01 Basketball Academy, Inc.

Fee · $499 one time Format · Online, self-paced Scope · 14 modules · 75 worksheets

Every worksheet is completed inside our online portal — your entries save as you type, and the certificate generates the moment all 75 are done.

At a glance

A certification built around the sport, not borrowed from it.

Most performance certifications teach general athleticism and leave the basketball translation to you. This one starts from the game: the first step, the closeout, the rebound landing, the fourth quarter. Every assessment, every threshold and every corrective is written for a court.

What you'll be able to do

Seven things you'll leave holding.

  • Run a real basketball needs analysis — Screen an athlete by position, build a bioenergetic and mechanical profile, and turn it into a training priority instead of a guess.
  • Program the whole calendar — Build macrocycles, mesocycles and in-season microcycles on the hybrid Two01 model, with load managed against the game schedule.
  • Train vertical power safely — Progress plyometrics by contact count, coach triple extension, and build the deceleration capacity that protects the athlete on landing.
  • Develop lateral court speed — Program SAQ, closeout mechanics, hip-turn efficiency and repeat-sprint capacity for the movements basketball actually demands.
  • Prevent the common basketball injuries — Screen for ankle, knee-valgus, hip and low-back risk, then deploy corrective strategies inside the training block, not beside it.
  • Coach nutrition, hydration and the mental game — Practical fueling, hydration and sleep protocols, plus focus, arousal-control and confidence work that holds up in the fourth quarter.
  • Operate ethically and professionally — Scope of practice, documentation, athlete and parent buy-in, and the administrative systems a performance program needs to survive.

Inside a worksheet

Every worksheet is a working tool, not a quiz.

There are no multiple-choice questions in this certification. Each worksheet gives you an objective, the reasoning behind it, a fillable instrument, the coaching cues to use on the floor, and the thresholds that tell you what the numbers mean. Then it asks you what you are changing because of it.

Here is Worksheet 1 exactly as it appears in the portal — blank cells are the ones you fill in.

Module 1 · Worksheet 1

Basketball Kinetic Chain Linkage Map

Map joint actions to physical court movements and tactical execution, linking anatomy to on-court skill.

The instrument
Basketball Kinetic Chain Linkage Map
Joint ComplexAction & Primary Muscle GroupBasketball Court Application / Specific MovementFailure Compensation (What You See)
Ankle / FootPlantarflexion (Gastrocnemius / Soleus)First-step explosive push-off; vertical launch apexQuiet push-off; no 'pop' off the floor
KneeExtension (Quadriceps Femoris)Eccentric deceleration buffer during lay-up landingKnees collapse inward (valgus) on landing
HipInternal/External Rotation (Gluteals / Piriformis)Defensive hip flip; transitioning tracking angle on perimeterSlow hip turn; feet cross on closeout
Coaching cues
  • Force flows from the ground up — coach the ankle and hip first, the shot follows.
  • Watch the proximal joint: a stiff hip is the most common silent power leak.
  • A chain is only as strong as its weakest link — log the lowest-graded joint for each athlete.
Interpretation & action thresholds

Any joint scored with an unclear or missing failure compensation indicates a gap in your movement vocabulary — revisit before progressing to plyometric loading.

Who it's for

Built for the people already in the gym.

  • High school and AAU coaches

You already run the practices. This gives you the performance side of the job — screening, programming and load management — without guessing.

  • Strength coaches moving into basketball

You know how to build strength. This translates it into court movement, jump mechanics, lateral speed and in-season maintenance.

  • Skills trainers and private coaches

Add a defensible performance service to your business, backed by documented assessments your families can actually see.

  • Trainers preparing for the floor

If you are early in your career, the 75 worksheets become your first professional portfolio of documented athlete work.

How certification is awarded

You earn it by doing the work on real athletes.

  • All 75 worksheets completed — Every fillable field, table and rubric filled, the interpretation threshold applied, and a written action item in the reflection section.
  • Real athlete data — Worksheets are completed on real athletes or documented observation — not hypotheticals. Keep them; they are your certification evidence.
  • Worksheet 57 signed — The Program Design Self-Audit in Module 10 must be completed and signed off before the certificate is issued.
  • Scope of practice acknowledged — Module 14 defines the line between performance training and medical care. You never diagnose, prescribe rehabilitation, or clear return-to-play.

Two01 Basketball Academy, Inc. issues the certificate of completion. It attests that you completed this curriculum — it is not a medical, clinical or state licensing credential, and it does not authorize diagnosis, rehabilitation or return-to-play clearance.

Questions

Before you enroll.

What exactly do I get for $499?

The full 14-module curriculum with all 75 worksheets delivered online in the Two01 certification portal, the Official Certification Workbook as a downloadable PDF, and the Two01 Basketball Academy certificate of completion once you finish.

How long does the course take?

It is self-paced. Coaches working it seriously alongside a season typically take 8–12 weeks, because the assessment worksheets are meant to be run on real athletes and several tracking worksheets are maintained across a training block.

Is there a live component?

The certification itself is online and self-paced. Two01 runs optional coach clinics and on-court intensives separately — email us if you want to be told when the next one is scheduled.

Do I need a facility or expensive equipment?

No. Every assessment in the course is built to run with a court, a wall, a tape measure, cones and a stopwatch or phone. Force plates and timing gates are noted where they help, but never required.

What happens if I lose my access code?

Email info@two01sportsperformance.com from the address you paid with and we will re-send it.

Where is my progress stored?

In your browser, as you type. Use the same browser and device to pick up where you left off, and keep your completed worksheet exports as your certification evidence.

Is the certificate a license?

No. It is a certificate of completion issued by Two01 Basketball Academy, Inc. attesting that you completed a 14-module, 75-worksheet basketball-specific performance curriculum. It is not a medical or clinical credential.

Can my whole staff enroll?

Yes. Email enterprise@two01sportsperformance.com for staff pricing — we issue a code per coach so each certificate is individually earned and named.
